#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The region scored 82.5 points based on the aggregation of eight key indicators.
The study was conducted by RIA Novosti analysts. Rosstat data was used to compile the rating. Experts calculated such indicators as the level of wages, employment, conditions, and the labor market capacity.
The Hanty-Mansiysk autonomous district is in 14th place in the rating, the region scored 77.58 points. Despite getting into the top 20, the region demonstrated a downward trend, falling out of the top ten regions, where it was at the end of 2022.
Murmansk region is in 38th place with 68.66 points, the Komi Republic scored 63.34 points in 48th place, the Saha Republic is in 56th place with a total of 61.35 points, Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district is in 63rd place, the district received 57.72 points.
The Republic of Karelia is in 67th place, the region scored 56.61 points, Arhangelsk region took 70th place with 55.93 points. The outsiders of the rating are expectedly Chukotka (54.58 points, 72nd place) and the Nenets autonomous district (48.29 points, 75th position).
In general, the regions of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation showed positive trends in the labor market – eight regions at once improved the value of the average rating score compared to 2022. The main negative factor is the insufficient diversification of regional economies.
At the same time, taking into account the current record low level of unemployment and the intensive dynamics of wage growth, it is possible to predict an increase in the final scores of the Arctic regions by the end of 2024, the channel’s experts note.
Earlier, our region entered the top 20 ranking with high wages.
