On September 12, residents of Khatanga celebrated the 394th anniversary of the founding of the village.
A large festive concert and competitions were organized on the central square. Tents with souvenirs, sweets and handicrafts were set up there. In a stylized tent, guests were treated with hot tea and homemade cakes.
The holiday began with competitions in northern all-around – jumping over sledges and throwing a maut. The winners received valuable gifts.
The acting head of the rural settlement Alevtin Skripkin congratulated all the residents, presented certificates of honor and letters of thanks for their contribution to the development of the village.
The festive concert, the residents of Khatanga say, passed in one breath. A program of vocal, literary and dance performances was prepared by the artists of the House of Culture. And in the final, the villagers sang all together.
Let us remind you that Khatanga was founded in 1626. This year is considered to be the date of the annexation of the Khatanga region to Russia.
