#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The round table participants were representatives of district authorities, the pedagogical community and the public. Also, the commissioner for the rights of indigenous minorities in Krasnoyarsk region, chairman of the Russian Federation indigenous minorities representatives living in Krasnoyarsk region council, under the regional government, Grigory Dyukarev attended the event in the video conference mode.
“I am very glad that I have once again become a participant in the pedagogical conference. I am proud that both the pedagogical community and the community of cultural workers, our national intelligentsia, native speakers maintain a high standard in terms of preserving and developing native languages. I believe that we have undoubted successes in terms of ethnic pedagogy”, Grigory Dyukarev addressed with a welcoming speech.
During the event, strategic issues of ethnic education in the municipal district were discussed. The round table participants presented teaching aids for junior grades, a report on the nomadic way of life’s role in preserving the Taimyr peoples’ native language and culture, and also summed up the Potapovo secondary school No. 12 grant implementation results.
Zoya Ichin-Norbu in her speech presented the Innovative Alphabet of the Dolgan Language:
“What is so special about the innovative alphabet? The fact is that I removed eight letters from the traditional alphabet that do not sound in the Dolgan speech, they do not exist. But, having removed them, I added the most relevant letters”.
It should be noted that the matter of creating a platform for studying the Dolgan language was discussed as part of the region governor’s direct line in May of this year.
The event ended with a ceremonial awarding of Taimyr teachers.
Earlier, This Is Taimyr wrote that two books were published in the Dolgan and Evenki languages.
