#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Folklore groups Heiro and Togokon opened an extensive cultural and entertainment program in one of the pavilions at the international exhibition-forum Russia.
The folk song and dance ensemble of the peoples of the North Heiro showed its unique performance, inspired by the ancient customs and rituals of the Taimyr peoples. Through their creativity, the artists shared part of their culture, and were greeted with delight by the guests of the large-scale event.
The association of Taimyr singers Togokon, that means “small fire” in Evenki, charmed the audience with the richness of the North peoples’ original song culture.
The works of a bone carver Nikolay Kirgizov aroused no less interest. He spoke about the ancient art of bone carving and taught everyone the basics of the craft.
Also, for visitors to the capital’s event, creative groups from Dudinka organized jew’s harp playing, the North peoples national costumes show, and demonstrated the art of throat singing.
Let us remind you that the international exhibition and forum Russia is a demonstration of the country’s main achievements and is taking place in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024. As part of the event, the participants of which are public associations, corporations and organizations of all subjects of the Russian Federation, free exhibitions, business meetings, children’s programs, cinema, concerts, master classes, excursions and much more are held.
