#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The modern Norilsk.Taimyr guide, in the development of which the journalists of the Severny Gorod media company participated, is now available in the mobile application.
An electronic Russian-English version of the previously published guidebook of the same name was launched by the Norilsk Museum. The program is completely free and is already available for download on the Play Market for Android. The app is coming soon to the Apple App Store.
The resource will be useful not only for travelers who plan to visit Taimyr and Norilsk, but also for those who are interested in the history and nature of their native land. For example, thanks to the application, you can remotely, without leaving your home, walk around the city and go to the most remote corners of the peninsula. Users will learn up-to-date information about the natural and cultural attractions of the territory, get acquainted with the history of the region’s development, tourist routes, leisure activities, infrastructure, and so on. The application is illustrated with photographs, there are maps for navigation and other useful infographics.
Like the mobile application, the paper version of Norilsk.Taimyr guide was developed and published by the specialists of the Norilsk Museum in partnership with the PressPass publishing house (Moscow) at the request of the Norilsk administration. A large team of authors from Norilsk historians, museum specialists, journalists worked on the project under the leadership of the museum director Natalya Fedyanina.
Additional information about the guide can be found at Norilskmuseum.ru.
Earlier we wrote that the guide became the winner of a prestigious international competition.
