#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The company Mustang Film has taken on the film production. Filming will take place in Krasnoyarsk region until October of this year.
The project has passed the competitive selection for support of the national game projects production, conducted by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and received a grant for filming.
The film will be produced by Egor Shorohov. He is originally from Igarka, and his professional portfolio includes films that have appealed to Russian viewers. These are Poor Masha, Disobedient, Standup Undercover, Olivier. He also participated in the II and III International film producers forum in Krasnoyarsk region, which were held with the support of the regional Ministry of Culture.
Filming of the movie Grandfather will take place in picturesque places of the region, such as the national park Krasnoyarskiye Stolby (eng.: Krasnoyarsk Pillars), a farm in the Berezovsky district, the village of Mina, the bank of the Mana river – the outskirts of the Divnogorsk city, as well as the village of Pamyati 13 Bortsov. The genre is defined as drama, adventure.
The plot of the film is to some extent close to each of our contemporaries. It is about growing up and working on your childhood traumas. A grandfather tries to cure his grandson of agoraphobia (fear of crowds), and this almost ends in tragedy. How the fate of these two loved ones will turn out now depends on whether the grandson will be able to overcome his fears, whether he will find the strength to do this.
Irina Pegova, people’s artist of the Russian Federation, theater and film actress, winner of the Golden Eagle award, will take part in the filming of the movie Grandfather. The film also features Vladimir Gostyuhin, honored artist of the RSFSR, Belarusian and Russian theater and film actor and film director. Actor and screenwriter Konstantin Chepurin and film actors Olga Vinichenko and Artem Tkachenko will also play roles in it. The main role of the grandson will be played by 12-year-old film and dubbing actor Vsevolod Klimenok.
Filming will continue in Krasnoyarsk region until October 2024. In total, about 80 film specialists will be involved in the project, including professional actors from Krasnoyarsk region theaters, NIA Krasnoyarsk reports.
