#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. According to the competition terms, everyone who is not indifferent to their native land’s history, regardless of age and profession, can apply. According to the organizers, the project is aimed at developing the cultural environment in the regions.
The competition takes place in several stages. The first one is accepting applications and nationwide online voting on the website. The next stage is the selection of experts, including leading cultural figures, architects and urbanists. The concept and sketch of the winning art projects will be implemented by professional artists on a competitive basis.
The main criteria for the jury will be the originality of the idea and its connection with local specifics.
This year, the Cultural Mark all-Russian competition for new cultural attractions is being held for the fourth time. Thanks to it, 14 new art objects were installed in the regions. So, in Monchegorsk after the opening of the monument to a stool, the annual International poetry festival named Stool is now being held. In Yakutsk after the opening of the art object named I was here! launched a bus quest. It passes through non-tourist places associated with historical figures – the authors of quotes that were engraved on the sculptural composition. A monument to the polar giraffe, the hero of the Norilsk writer Eduard Nonin’s poems, was set up in Norilsk, and now a citywide holiday – the Day of the Polar Giraffe is being held here.
It should be noted that the idea of the Cultural Mark competition was highly appreciated by experts: the project was included in the short-list of the national award for the development of public relations Silver Archer and claims to be the best in the Cultural and educational projects category, it was established this year for the first time…
The Cultural Mark all-Russian competition is being implemented at the expense of the presidential grant fund for the development of civil society.
