The peoples living in Taimyr are the unifying force of our great Motherland, the force of Russia. From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on the holiday!” said the municipal district head Evgeny Vershinin.

At the festival, distinguished northerners were awarded for their contribution to the preservation and development of the indigenous peoples’ original culture. The Taimyr Museum of Local Lore prepared the program Games in the Taimyr Camp. There was also a photo exhibition Novaya settlement is Commonwealth of Two Peoples timed to coincide with the settlement’s 70th anniversary. Visitors could try on national costumes and take pictures for memory.
