#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Famous photographer and traveler Alexander Himushin will be a guest of the of Creative Industries Academy, an educational project of the Norilsk Development Agency.
At the creative meeting with Norilsk photographers, professionals and amateurs, Alexander Himushin will talk about the World in Faces project, which he has been working on for many years, and show some of his work.
Recall that the exhibition The World in Faces presents 170 photo portraits of representatives of more than 100 indigenous peoples of the world, including five Taimyr ethnic groups. Ethnophotographer Alexander Himushin made a significant part of his work with the support of Nornickel.
“During his travels, Alexander Himushin visited about 90 countries, he not only took thousands of photographs of more than a hundred peoples’ representatives, but also accumulated many amazing stories that he is ready to share with the Norilsk people”, the NDA press service noted.
On May 28, with the Nornickel support, a street exhibition The World in Faces will open in Dudinka. We also talked about the opening of the mobile exposition The Territory of the Brave: A year at the Polar Station.
