#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Arctica cinema and leisure center, located in Dudinka, will take part in the North Unknown Heroes project, which tells about people who have made a significant contribution to the development of the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route, and will hold the Polar Cinema Day event on May, 21.
This year, the operator of the North Unknown Heroes project is Kamen studio, the author and producer of which is Boris Dvorkin, film director, member of the Russia Cinematographers Union and the Eurasian Television and Radio Academy.
Residents of the Arctic will watch five films: White Silence – a film dedicated to the polar explorer Nikolay Evgenov; Ice Clouds – a film about the Hero of the Soviet Union, polar pilot Anatoly Alekseyev; EON-3 Secret Expedition – about a warships guide along the Northern Sea Route in 1936; as well as the Vasily Burkhanov: Polar Admiral and Tikhaya Bay movies are about one of the first Soviet polar stations on Franz Josef Land.
Recall that the Polar Cinema Day was first held in 2021 as part of a cooperation agreement between the Arctic and the Far North Cities Union and the autonomous non-profit organization Pozitiv-Film. That time, 44 regions of Russia took part in the project.
