#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The first art festival of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East – Inspiration of the Arctic – is taking place in the Tavrichesky garden of St. Petersburg.

Dudinka will be presented by the honored collective of folk art of the Russian Federation – Taimyr folk song and dance ensemble of the peoples of the North Heiro and the city Center of folk art sculptor Vyacheslav Beti.

The festival program includes performances by creative groups from Chukotka, Kamchatka, Yakutia, Yamal, the Nenets Autonomous district, the Murmansk region and St. Petersburg with northern folklore perfomances, master classes in arts and crafts, as well as national games and competitions.

Earlier, Taimyr people have already presented the Treasures of the North in Moscow at an exhibition-fair, and in August in Dudinka, with the support of Nornickel, the Youth Forum of the Indigenous Minorities of Taimyr was held.
