#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The school invites everyone interested to the creative workshop called ApARTment, where everyone will learn how to create toys from polymer clay and paint with watercolors. Due to restrictive measures, master classes will be held online on the official website of the project kvartirnik.art-norilsk.ru.
The school director Tatyana Mozgovaya told This Is Taimyr that a grant from the Nornickel company’s World of New Opportunities program helped to bring the idea of the ApARTment to life.
“Initially, we were supposed to be visited by masters from different cities of Russia, for example, a watercolor painter from St. Petersburg Anna Mikhailova. The coronavirus pandemic made adjustments, and we switched to online mode: we recorded master classes in advance and are gradually posting them on the website”, the interlocutor explained.
In total, four video lessons were prepared for participants, two of which are already in the public domain: Christmas Tree toy plaster print and Bear Cub toy from polymer clay.
“We will post two more master classes before the end of the year, in which teachers will tell and show how to paint with watercolors. Anyone can become a participant of the ApARTment. We hope that creativity will unite everyone on New Year’s holidays, and will allow them to have an interesting time”, said Tatiana Mozgovaya. “The only condition of the project is feedback. We look forward to receiving photo feedback. You can send your works to art-norilsk@mail.ru, in WhatsApp or Viber at 8-913-502-90-95, or post photos on social networks by putting the #квАРТирник_НДХШ hashtag”, concluded the director of the art school.
