#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The exhibition involved representatives of the tourism sector in Taimyr, including 16 tour operators and excursion bureaus, nine masters of souvenir and gastronomic products. The event was organized by the Norilsk Development Agency (NDA) with the support of the city administration, the Nornickel company and the Arena-Norilsk sports and entertainment complex.
Today, tour operators, tour agencies and other participants in the local tourism market are ready to offer more than 50 destinations for educational and adventure holidays in Taimyr. These are ethno-tours, trekking, tours to lake Lama, rafting on the Valyok and Listvyanka rivers, expeditions around the peninsula, conquering mountain ranges and peaks, excursions in Norilsk and its environs, free diving, stand-up surfing, excursions to industrial enterprises and extreme types of tourism: jeeping, enduro, quad tours.
The Arena hosts an exhibition-fair of Arctic souvenirs. It presents unique glass jewelry, books about Taimyr, the Taimyr Flavors collection, products by Dudinka craftsmen, and Arctic clothing. Each exhibit is filled with the philosophy of the North and the warmth of the master’s hands.
All destinations available for travel will be presented on April 8 and 9.
At the weekend, everyone can try Norilsk gastronomic souvenirs, attend a fashion show of works by Norilsk and Dudinka designers and win a cool prize (one-day tour to lake Lama, excursion to the Anhydrite underground training ground, rafting down the Listvyanka river, Norilsk tour, one-day jeep tour). On the square near the sports and entertainment complex, during the key days of the exhibition, tourist equipment will be shown and an aborigine chum will open, the area near the Cinema Art Hall entertainment complex will become the venue for drifting in the Norilsk style and demonstrating the capabilities of hard enduro and snow motorcycles.

The exhibition allows us to loudly declare that there is tourism in Norilsk, and it is very different, Anastasia Korol, the NDA deputy director for tourism development, is sure:

The great work that the Norilsk Development Agency, the city administration and Nornickel have been doing together for several years is bearing fruit. It’s time to travel around Taimyr”.
Previously, five popular routes through the Taimyr mountains, lakes and waterfalls and locations associated with the Taimyr deposits were certified in Norilsk.
This Is Taimyr also told about five reasons to visit Norilsk – a window to the unexplored Arctic and that one weekend in Taimyr can contain the events of a whole vacation month.
