#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The jury of the V All-Russian competition of regional environmental practices Reliable Partner – Ecology considered the Nornickel company’s Clean Norilsk to be the best project in the Arctic.
In 2023, more than 200 organizations submitted their practices to the competition – the effect of their projects was assessed by independent experts, and the experience can be extended to other territories and companies.
In 2023 alone, by mid-September, 39 objects had been demolished under the Clean Norilsk program – the most remote location was at the Yuzhno-Soleninskoye field. There they managed to dismantle 15 Norilskgazprom facilities.
By the end of the year, under the Clean Norilsk program, almost 200 thousand square meters of territory will be cleaned and about ten objects will be dismantled.
“The projects that were presented at the competition of environmental practices Reliable Partner – Ecology are projects to purify water, air, territories and environmental education of citizens. Our company takes a worthy place among the winners. And I am sure that next year we will be first in the Clean Air nomination for the Sulfur Program implementation”, said Stanislav Seleznev, vice president for ecology and industrial safety.
Let us remind you that in September the Sulfur Program’s first stage was launched at Nadezhda metallurgical plant.
