#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The book fair and meetings with interesting people will be held from 28 to 31 October 2021 at the children’s library named after Sasha Petryaev. SKIF-JUNIOR is designed for children and adolescents from seven to 15 years old. The festival program includes: presentations of novelties for children’s literature, interactive readings, thematic quests, master classes, science shows, educational lectures, a round table and discussion, theatrical readings, screenings of films and cartoons.
Key events of the project will be shown live on social networks. Online quizzes and intellectual games, literary contests will also be held there.
One of the days will be devoted to popular science literature, when presentations of books in the genre of nonfiction and meetings with Norilsk travelers are expected. Scientific and educational lectures will present scientific experiments, a spectacular science show, interactive master classes and a huge collection of interesting facts about everything in the world.
Younger children will watch cartoons and popular science films about dinosaurs, space exploration, the depths of the sea, exotic plants and distant countries.
Part of the program is aimed at specialists in children’s literature. Librarians, teachers, speech therapists, psychologists will take part in the events.
And of course, there will be a children’s book fair at discounted prices.
The project partners are the Little Genius center for educational initiatives, the Kayerkan children’s art house, the Norilsk children’s art school, the Taimyr writers’ union in the Krasnoyarsk region, and the Norilsk branch of the federal network of children’s centers IT-Cube Krasnoyarsk Quantorium in Norilsk.
The need of Norilsk citizens for an intellectual form of leisure became evident when in 2018 the Northern book intellectual festival SKIF was held in the public library, which was attended by more than five thousand citizens. The library received numerous requests from residents of the city to organize the next book festival, which will be done thanks to the competition of social projects.
