#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Each video will acquaint viewers with different tourist destinations on the territory of the tourist and recreational cluster Arctic and about all those who contribute to the development of cultural, educational, adventure, sports, ethnographic, event, gastronomic and other types of tourism in the territory.
In the debut series, the journalists told about the first snowmobile festival Snow Ride Putorana 2022.
The bright event took place on March 26 in the area of the Red Stones gorge and gathered more than 200 people despite the windy weather. Among the guests of the festival there were participants of the Spring in Taimyr blog tour, organized with the NDA assistance.
All the project episodes will be posted on the agency’s YouTube channel. Recall that the NDA is systematically working to develop tourism in the tourist cluster territory.
Today, the Arctic cluster includes the Taimyr peninsula with the cities of Norilsk and Dudinka, numerous villages and Severnaya Zemlya archipelago. This area of almost 900 thousand square kilometers is one of the most inaccessible territories in the world, which has a huge tourism potential.
The tourist cluster has about 70 investment projects of residents. Some initiatives were included in the comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of Norilsk until 2035.
At the beginning of this year, the NDA together with partners, completed work on the master plan for the Arctic tourist cluster. The master plan, among other things, contains information on the permissible anthropological load on the fragile nature of the Arctic and the requirements for infrastructure facilities.
The document provides for the introduction of the Taimyr Hospitality quality system, the development of the educational environment and the improvement of the tourism services quality.
Earlier in Norilsk, the prospects for the development of ethnic tourism in Taimyr were discussed. Recall that in 2021, compared to 2020, the tourist flow to Taimyr increased by 70 percent – from 5 600 to 9 600 tourists. This year, Taimyr expects at least 11 000 guests.
