#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Taimyr Reserves nature protecting organization announced a competition dedicated to the year of the wild reindeer in order to draw public attention to the problem of preserving its population. The Norilsk residents presented more than 250 works to the jury.
Young artists depicted the main animal of the Arctic in the Let’s Save the Deer Together drawing competition, and the young poets demonstrated their literary abilities on the Run Forward, Live, My Reindeer! theme. The best poem will appear on the pages of the Taimyr Reserves ABC, which is scheduled to be published in 2021.
Another competition – A Proud Reindeer Walking outside My Window – involved family creativity: children and adults decorated the windows of their apartment together.
“It was not easy for the jury to choose the winners: many worthy, bright and interesting works in terms of technical implementation were prepared by the Norilsk people”, says Irina Mesropyan, a leading specialist of the Environmental Education Department, on the Taimyr Reserves website. “Therefore, by mutual decision of experts and organizers, additional nominations were introduced”.
For two days, November 19 and 20, the winners are expected to be presented with diplomas and gifts. A photography area and an exhibition of the best creative works will be arranged for them in the office living room.
The rest of the participants in all the competitions will receive electronic certificates.
