#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. PolArt resident from Vladivostok Milana Pestereva will create a textile object together with Norilsk residents for three weeks, which will reflect the ways northern residents interact with warmth. You can take part in the creation of a memorable item/clothes/canvas by attending warm meetings on collective knitting together with the artist.
Everyone who already knows or even does not know how to knit, or only plans to learn, is invited to the meetings. And even those who are interested in being in the process and just chatting.
“During such a meditative joint action, it is especially pleasant to share your stories with each other, weaving them into each knot of the common canvas. Everyone who wants to will create their own unique knitted form, which will eventually become part of the common canvas”, Milana shared.
Knitting materials – yarn and hooks – will be provided by the organizers of the art residence.
The first two meetings are scheduled for November 22 and 23.
The event at the PolArt residence is organized by the museum and exhibition complex Norilsk Museum as part of a project that is being implemented with the support of the target capital fund Our Norilsk.
Earlier we told you how the Night of the Arts was held in Norilsk.
