#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Russian Geographical Society (RGS) invites volunteers to join the new environmental movement Arctic Volunteer.
Participants will take a training course and learn how to conduct scientific research in the Arctic, analyze the types, forms and volumes of pollution, and determine the best methods for eliminating them.
Those who successfully pass the selection will receive a certificate and will be able to join the Russian Geographical Society expedition to clean up the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation from man-made pollution. The General Cleaning Arctic activity will take place in Hatanga in the summer of 2024.

Let us recall that in August 2023, the first stage of the complex expedition of the Russian Geographical Society Spring-cleaning in Arctic took place. It was carried out jointly with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. More than 70 volunteers from different cities of Russia and scientists took part in it.
In two weeks, volunteers cleaned more than three kilometers of coastline and collected more than 200 tons of man-made waste that had accumulated here for decades.
