Arctic tourist train to appear in Russia

October 01, 2021

The route will include Petrozavodsk, Murmansk and Vologda.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A tourist train from Moscow to Murmansk called Northern Lights is planned to be launched in January 2022.

The Arctic route will start in Moscow. Then the train will proceed to Petrozavodsk, and then to Murmansk. The next stop will be Vologda, and then the tourists will be brought back to Moscow.

The train will be launched so that tourists have the opportunity to admire a striking natural phenomenon in Murmansk – the polar lights.

“Also, the cruise trains include a hall car for activities on the way, a bar car and, of course, a restaurant car, since in some tours we include meals on board”, said the deputy general director of Russian Railways Dmitry Pegov.

Northern lights are a tourist attraction in Norilsk too. In September, the Norilsk people actively published pictures of the amazing natural phenomenon on social networks.
