#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The international organization of the northern regions Northern Forum will launch a distance educational program about the Arctic in pilot mode starting from 2025. This was announced by the organization’s director Vladimir Vasiliev.
“Even the North residents themselves know little about the Arctic, not to mention the southern countries and regions. We plan to create an international network of schools – the Northern Forum partners. On this basis, we will launch a program of additional education in a distance format. Lectures will be given by leading northern scientists from Arctic countries”, Vasiliev explained to TASS.
Let us remind you that the Northern Forum is an international non-governmental organization that unites governors of the northern regions. It is seen as a tool for expanding non-political dialogue between governors of the northern regions of different countries, heads of municipalities and organizations.
The Northern Forum includes a number of regions of the Russian Federation, the state of Alaska (USA), the province of Gangwon (Republic of Korea), as well as nine business partners from Russia, Iceland, Norway, the USA, and Japan. Since 2013, the secretariat of the Northern Forum has been located in Yakutsk.
Earlier, we reported that Arctic volunteers will go on an eco-expedition to Hatanga.
