#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The 20th tourist gathering among schoolchildren of Dudinka took place near the Suhoy Log river, 30 kilometers from the city. The event organizers are teachers of the Junior Center for Tourism and Creativity.
The guests of the event congratulated the young tourists on the start of the competition, wished them successful starts and brilliant victories, and presented sweet gifts.
Director of the Junior Center for Tourism and Creativity, Nina Ruban, thanked the employees of the Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Department, as well as the management of the transport company and medical workers for organizing and conducting the meeting. She also presented letters of thanks and mementos to honorary guests and teachers who had been preparing teams for tourist gatherings for many years.
For three days, teams took part in five competitions. Orienteering competitions were held in the form of a relay race. Also, schoolchildren took part in a local history quiz, a tourist song competition and a gourmet competition.
On the last day of the competition, the participants went through the control tourist route, completing tasks at such stages as setting up a tent, lighting a fire, crossing the water, determining the azimuth for an object, medicine and others.
The winners-teams were presented with commemorative diplomas, cups and valuable prizes. The event takes place annually.
