#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. With the support of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, production of amphibious vehicles under the Varyag brand is being established in Krasnoyarsk.
The project with the investment volume of 92.5 million rubles is being implemented by the Allianceservice company; the production of snow and swamp-going vehicles is located in Krasnoyarsk at the site of the electric car repair plant (EVRZ).
They are already producing Varyags with a 4×4 and 6×6 wheel arrangement, two- and three-axle modular all-terrain vehicles of various designs.
“All-terrain vehicles are especially in demand by large mining companies, enterprises operating in remote, hard-to-reach and northern territories, where there are no roads, as well as rescue and special services. Companies implementing large investment projects in our region are already showing interest”, the enterprise head Andrei Klimovich explained.
The company actively uses the support infrastructure created in the region. Thus, the enterprise’s design bureau developed a unique suspension system for an all-terrain vehicle together with the KRITBI (Krasnoyarsk regional innovation and technology business incubator) prototyping center. In addition, with the support of the My Business center, the company presents its products on international markets, reports the regional government’s press service.
“This is a unique investment project in mechanical engineering. Moreover, it has great potential for cooperation with other large investment projects. The region territories are now being actively developed, and we are able to offer solutions developed in our region for the mining, metallurgical and oil industries. Of course, we will provide the project with the full possible range of support”, added Sergey Vereshchagin, the Krasnoyarsk region government chairman, after visiting the enterprise.
Earlier, we wrote about the idea of naming new all-terrain vehicles in honor of the indigenous peoples of the North.
