The size of the first subsidy is 791,860 rubles. This money has already been spent on exhibition and sound equipment. The latter is sent to the branch of the Dudinka Folk Art Center located in the village of Potapovo. They also expect the arrival of computers, a printer and an accordion, which the FAC considers a significant acquisition, necessary for rehearsals of the choral groups.
The second subsidy is 400 thousand roubles. The institution received support for artistic folk crafts, primarily for equipping the material and technical base of the decorative and applied arts workshop. This will lead to the improvement of the professional level of masters who make art products from deer horns and mammoth tusk, leather, and beads. They also want to buy special equipment for bone carving masters. In addition, the craftswomen will get overlocks, cloth and beads for work.
“Along with traditional techniques, masters practise new technologies, use modern tools and special equipment. This provides the basis for the training of the master. In order to meet the new demands of the time, it is necessary to constantly improve and strengthen the material and technical base of our workshops”, the FAC specialists noted.
We add that every year the center’s employees organize more than 90 events that are attended by about 20 000 people. One of them is the Taimyr Stroganina festival. It is held in late November, when it is already frosty in our area.
