Taimyr entered region’s highest birth districts top five

The total birth rate in the Krasnoyarsk region last year was 10 children per 1 000 people.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Krasnoyarskstat has prepared ‘women’s’ statistics for our region for Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on November 27.

In total, 1 517 thousand people lived in the Krasnoyarsk region at the beginning of 2022, of which 53 percent were women.

Last year, 28 406 babies were born in the region: 14 678 boys and 13 728 girls. Of these, 35.5 percent were first-born, 36.8 percent were born the second child in the family, 18.5 percent – the third, 5.6 – the fourth, 3.3 – the fifth or more.

The average age of mothers in the region is 28.6 years. Most often, women in Krasnoyarsk give birth at the age of 30-34 years – this is 29.5 percent of the total number of women in labor. The group of 25-29 years old accounts for 27.6 percent, for 20-24 years old – 18.1 percent.

The birth rate – the number of births per woman – was 1.51. Last year, 10 children were born per 1 000 people – this is the region’s total birth rate.

The most ‘prolific’ districts of the region are Evenk – 14.7, Balahta – 13, Uzhur – 12.4, Pirovsky – 12.2 and Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets – 11.9.
