#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Over the past year, 267 births were registered. This includes 140 boys and 127 girls.
For many years, Taimyr has experienced natural population growth, where the number of births exceeds the number of deaths. In 2024 and early 2025, 268 death certificates were issued, which is 13 fewer than in 2023.
A total of 179 couples officialized their relationships. Of these, 152 marriages took place in Dudinka, 18 in Hatanga, 6 in Karaul, and 3 couples got married in Dikson. The number of divorces has also decreased, with 142 families choosing to end their marriages, an 8% drop compared to 2023.
Paternity was established for 140 children whose parents are in common-law relationships. Five children have been adopted this year, compared to three in 2023. Additionally, 56 people applied to the registry office for a name change (including last name, first name, or patronymic), up from 34 in 2023. The previous record was in 2022 when 44 people changed their names.
In January 2025, Taimyr welcomed 19 newborns, issued 8 marriage certificates, registered 10 divorces, and processed 27 death certificates.
Interestingly, in 2025, newlyweds will have many attractive dates to choose from. The combination of the numbers 2 and 5, as well as the 25th of each month, is expected to be particularly popular.
