Last year, Norilsk interdistrict hospital No. 1 reported that 1742 families welcomed new members, with a total of 1752 babies born, including 14 sets of twins and one set of triplets. Boys made up the majority of the newborns, with 911 boys compared to 841 girls. For several consecutive years, the number of boys has consistently exceeded that of girls.
As for popular names in the region, February data shows that girls are most commonly named Sofia, Anna, Victoria, Maria, and Eva, while boys are typically named Artem, Mikhail, Alexander, Dmitry, and Matvey.
