#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Thus, this year the Yenisey coal port is being prepared for commissioning, in 2024 – the oil terminal of the Bay Sever port and the capacity of Novatek PJSC for shipping liquefied natural gas.

As TASS quotes the words of Maxim Kulinko, deputy director of the Northern Sea Route Directorate of Rosatom State Corporation, cargo flow along the Northern Sea Route by 2030 is planned to grow to 150 million tons, that is, exceed the total capacity of the ports. However, about 20 million tons will be made up of short-sea domestic transportation, which does not require large port capacities, and about the same amount will be transit sea transportation.

Earlier, deputy prime minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov said that for the development of the Northern Sea Route until 2035, they plan to build 120 ships of various types and purposes. Rosatom has created a federal project for the Northern Sea Route year-round shipping development. Nornickel has increased transportation along the Northern Sea Route by almost 80 percent in two years. From April 1, 2024, the law on northern delivery will come into force.
