October 25, 2022

Four years ago, on October 20, 2018, the Norilsk Perinatal Center opened its doors. To date, 8 868 children have been born there: 4 385 girls and 4 483 boys. 121 of them are twins.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. “At the beginning of this year, a tradition appeared in our center: there is a tree on the wall on the first floor, on which parents hang symbolic cherries”, the medical specialists told This Is Taimyr. “At the end of the year, the cherry tree will drop its fruits, and in 2023, parents will begin to attach new berries to it”.

Recall that the Norilsk maternity hospital moved to the perinatal center from the city hospital campus. The new building is designed for 110 beds, the center is located next to the Norilsk Interdistrict Hospital No. 1 and is connected to it by a gallery. It includes a maternity department with five individual rooms, an operating room, departments for the pathology of pregnancy and neonatal care, as well as a postpartum department for 50 beds.

The new medical facility appeared due to its inclusion in the program for the development of perinatal centers in Russia. The total cost of the work exceeded four billion rubles.
