#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Taimyr whitefish, which is processed by the Zarya agricultural artel, is also fighting for victory. You can support a local manufacturer who uses only natural products in processing and an old recipe for smoking and salting until December 2 on the official website of the competition using the active link.
Winning the Tastes of Russia competition will allow the Taimyr whitefish to reach a new level: to receive support from the Ministry of Agriculture and expand the geography of sales. Vadim Kryukov, manager of the Zarya enterprise, told the This Is Taimyr correspondent that the main feature of the whitefish produced on our peninsula is its high protein content.
“For many years we have had a technologist who uses special nuances in fish processing. The Taimyr whitefish is unique in its protein composition, and this fact has a positive effect on the human body. We sell our fish not only in Taimyr and Norilsk, but also in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg. Participation in the competition gives an opportunity to declare itself to the whole of Russia, and in case of winning, to expand the supply of Taimyr whitefish to other subjects of the Federation. We hope for support from our fellow countrymen”, said Vadim Kryukov.
In addition to the Taimyr whitefish from the Krasnoyarsk region, the Minusinsk butter, Filimonovo condensed milk and mineral water from the Tagarsky spring take part in the Tastes of Russia competition.
In total, 79 regions participate in the popular vote of regional food brands. The competitors of the Taimyr whitefish are Kola cloudberry sauce (Murmansk region), reindeer chips and marshmallow from arctic berries (Nenets Autonomous District), Yakut fish (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Vorkuta venison (Komi Republic).
Note that each resident of the country can vote for only three brands from different regions. It is planned that in December the competition committee will select the winners. As a result, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will form a large-scale map of Russia’s tastes and launch a program of comprehensive support and promotion of unique domestic food products.
