#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The meeting turned out to be very dynamic, emotional and productive. The actual format of the dialogue was suggested by Emma Gadzhiyeva herself, formerly a solo figure skater who competed for Azerbaijan, and now a Russian sports journalist and TV presenter.
“I will say something, tell you some stories, and if you have a question, you just raise your hand and ask. Deal?” Emma addressed the audience.
The sports TV presenter was lucky to be able to fly to our northern city in the middle of a blizzard, with its snowy squalls, the airport working according to the actual weather and other ‘delights’ of the Norilsk winter.
“I’m glad to have reached Norilsk finally. The pilot told us that there was a slight breeze here, and the flight was postponed several times. Despite everything, I’ve made it and I have the opportunity to share my experience with you. I am happy that both skaters and media school listeners have come to meet me. It means that the conversation will be interesting and diverse”, said Emma Gadzhieva.
This is not the first time she has come to Norilsk. Earlier she met with the listeners of the Media School in the Polar Region in Dudinka, at a curling tournament. And then, according to the journalist, the meeting also turned out to be very interesting.
“At the initial stage of his formation in the profession, a journalist should be curious and inquisitive. A journalist who lacks these qualities will not find anything new, will not reveal, will not get anything new. And of course, there is no place without hard work, but without this quality it is impossible to achieve results in any profession or activity. And another important part of the journalist’s profession is communication skills”, explained the sports journalist and Match TV presenter.
Schoolchildren and adults caught every word of the federal channel’s professional, every gesture, and some even made notes in their notebooks.
“The kids are very different. Some were inquisitive and asked a lot of questions, others listened attentively and only after the meeting came up to me and shared that communication was interesting and useful to them. It is interesting that sportsmen also asked questions about journalism. That’s nice. It means that the profession continues to live on and some of them will breathe new strength, energy and ideas into it and create new, modern trends. I love meeting teenagers, the younger generation, because they have their own view of the world and they have something to teach us, adults. This is important for our profession to develop. Experienced journalists should feel that young people are already stepping on. I was very happy to talk to them and share my knowledge”, Emma Gadzhiyeva added.
She confessed that she likes Norilsk very much. It attracts with some special energy and atmosphere.
“I want to congratulate everyone on the coming new year. It turns out that it will come very soon, and in the hustle and bustle of work you forget about it. I wish everyone good health. This is the most important thing. Health is something that does not totally depend on us. If you are healthy, you will have the strength to realise your plans and ideas. I wish you good mood and positivity. You can find something good in any situation. May close and dear people always be nearby. In general, one of my favourite wishes sounds like this: may family and friends always gather at a generously laid table”, the journalist said.
Earlier, Konstantin Raikin, artistic director of the Satirikon theatre, visited Norilsk with his performances.
