After the quiz, Alena talked to the project participants and answered questions.
– How do you like Norilsk? Did you have any knowledge about the city before, has it met your expectations?
– To be honest, I only knew that it is very cold here. Once I was in Tokyo and was disappointed because I had read a lot about it in advance. It is better to learn about the city from the locals and discover new things step by step. Norilsk has impressed me – a bright city, everything is ablaze with lights, beautiful!
– How did your passion for intellectual games begin? How to become a good expert?
– I came to play with friends in school – and now I have been doing this for more than 20 years. I can’t say that I was an exemplary student at school, I even skipped some classes, but I’ve got settled in life and achieved a lot. To become a good player, the main thing is to have curiosity and play a lot. Of course, a good team also contributes to victory.
– How do you like the Norilsk residents?
– Over the past three weeks, I have been to many northern cities and I can note that the North has a special atmosphere. I noticed that in the South, they don’t play games like What? Where? When? en masse, while in the North they hold a lot of similar quizzes. And the people… In the North, the harsh climate is compensated by people, everyone treats each other with warmth and attention.
– How do you like the polar night? Have you ever seen this natural phenomenon before?
– Honestly, I’m not a fan of the polar night, I’ve already seen it in Kirovsk. I like it when it’s light during the day and dark at night. But your city is nice, I like the lighting and ice sculptures.
– You are active on social networks. Have you already posted any photos from Norilsk?
– Yes, I went underground at the Skalisty mine, took a lot of pictures there and shared them with subscribers. It was an incredible experience that left a bright mark. My audience was also surprised by my transformation into an underground shaft, and it delighted them.
– You often use spectacular and daring images for games. Does the on-screen image match the real one? What is Alena Povysheva like in life?
– It does, I can be different, I can afford to be anyone. Depending on my mood. I didn’t come to this right away, I just stopped worrying about who thinks what about me at some point. I learned not to react to negative comments, maybe it’s hard for people to accept that someone can afford to be the way they are, it worries them, and that’s why they throw it out through unflattering reviews.
– What wishes would you address to the participants of the Northern City Expert game and similar intellectual quizzes.
– What you are doing now requires intelligence, curiosity and intellect, such people, in my observations, achieve greater success in life. Therefore, do not give up this activity, create teams and play while you have free time and while you don’t have a family or work yet.
At the end of the interview, Alena summed up that being smart is fashionable now, the main thing is to do what you like, set goals and go towards them.
