#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Krasnoyarsk Regional Science Foundation announced the start of a competition for projects of applied scientific research and experiments aimed at the development of the Arctic and the Far North.
The competition is held for the second year in a row. Last time the fund supported 30 projects, the maximum grant amount was 200 thousand rubles. This year, the winners will be able to receive up to 500 thousand, and the total budget of the competition is 6 million rubles.
As the executive director of the Regional Science Foundation Irina Panteleeva noted, the development of the northern territories is a promising direction for young scientists:
“The Arctic is rich in valuable resources, but its development is associated with many tasks, the solution of which is aimed at the development strategy of the Arctic, approved by the presidential decree. The Arctic competition, the main goal of which is to attract the younger generation to the development of the northern territories of the region, is a good launching pad in big science for novice scientists”.
Grant applications are accepted until November 3. Detailed information can be found on the website of the fund sf-kras.ru or by phone 8 (391) 291-38-51.
