#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A new video from a local ice swimmer has appeared on Instagram. The man bathed at minus 45 degrees.
“Fine! It’s minus 45 today, but warmer than yesterday”, says the author of the video and leans on an ice floe in the pond.
Despite the warning of the Ministry of emergency situations about severe frosts, it was not enough the man left his home, but also plunged headlong. Below 45 in air and almost zero water temperature did not stop him.
“We swim anytime. This is what winter diving is like”, the frost-resistant Norilsk resident says at the end of the video.
Recall that last year, in February, by immersion in ice water, the same man and his partner celebrated the unique date 02.02.2020. It was minus 38 degrees that day, but it felt like 43. The water was much warmer.
“It’s rather warm. The water is about 3-4 degrees above zero now”, said the man.
Very low temperatures have been in Norilsk for almost a week. Over the past seven-day period, the Ministry of emergency situations twice warned about frosts down to minus 50 degrees.
