For the third year in a row, the initiative residents of the city have been organizing the action called Gift to the elderly and the lonely from caring Norilsk residents. The essence of the event is simple: you need to make a food set and bring it to Lenin street, 11, for further presentation to the wards of the mercy center.
New Year is a time of miracles and gifts. It is especially pleasant when they are made to those who really need them. Caring townspeople initiate collecting food packages. In the first year of its existence, the action helped the lonely, in the second – large families were added to them.
“From my experience I can say that at the very beginning the Norilsk people are not very active, their activity increases closer to the end of the action. In addition, many offer to transfer money, but we take only grocery sets. Though, the desire to help with finances is understandable – it is easier than buying food and bringing it to the specified address”, said Anna Sarafanova, a participant in the action.
The information is posted on Instagram. The publication describes the essence of the action, the address of receiving the sets and their composition. But, as Anna Sarafanova emphasizes, it is not uncommon for Norilsk residents to deviate from the initial list and add something of their own choosing to the New Year’s grocery basket: sweets, cookies, milk, canned food, and so on.
The guys from the auto club help to deliver the kits free of charge. Anyone can join the action.
The organizers guarantee the delivery of products to the addressees. They will not get lost at the collection point.
