#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The traditional diving tournament has been held in Norilsk since 2009. The competition took place in the Norilsk swimming pool, seven teams of two participants each took part in it. The athletes had to overcome the stages, among which were the passage through the rings tunnel, underwater target shooting, victim transportation and so on.
As the chief judge of the competition, the Confederation of Underwater Activities of Russia regional branch head Yevgeny Babich told, the participants’ training level is constantly growing.
He also added that next time Norilsk divers, including the participants from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Norilsk and Dudinka, would compete in open water in July at one of the training reservoirs within the city.
