#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. During his visit to Norilsk, the Arctic and the Far North Cities Union president, State Duma deputy Alexey Veller noted the successful implementation of the program to install warm bus stops.
“In Norilsk, everyone has been talking about warm bus stops for many years, that they have to be done, and now this problem has finally been solved”, said Alexey Veller.
“This year we want to improve them more. We’ll put 112 button in each pavilion and a third camera to film the entrance from the street. Now we are working with entrepreneurs on the possibility of installing coffee machines in the pavilions”, added Dmitry Karasev, head of Norilsk.
He also said that in addition to the information posted on the electronic panels in warm bus stops, an online application is being developed that will also allow Norilsk residents to track the movement of buses and the time of their arrival in real time.
“Initially, the contract for the installation of heated pavilions was concluded for 2022-2023, but it was completed ahead of schedule in full in 2022. It is also additionally planned that heated pavilions will be installed on inter-district passages, in Talnah, Kayerkan and Oganer districts, and the industrial zone,” the Norilsk head explained.
