#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On Saturday, July 22, on the territory where the X-WATERS Yenisey cold swim will take place on July 29, a general cleaning will take place.
Recall that brave souls from Norilsk, Dudinka and other cities of the country will conquer the Yenisey. According to forecasts, the water temperature on the surface of the polar Yenisey on July 29 will be about +10 degrees. Athletes will choose to swim 100 meters, 500 meters and three kilometers.
In 2021 and 2022, the location of X-WATERS Plateau Putorana was lake Lama. The project helped to loudly declare the tourism potential of Taimyr and popularize cold swimming. This year, due to the more accessible venue, the swim will be more massive – the athletes’ support groups will be able to come to the event.
The X-WATERS Yenisey 2023 swim will take place thanks to the Norilsk Development Agency, Business Culture LLC, the administrations of the Taimyr municipal district and Dudinka, as well as the support of the Nornickel company.
Earlier, the Norilsk cold swimming team successfully performed in the extreme open water swim X-WATERS Imandra in Monchegorsk.
