November 13, 2024

The most titled Russian media football teams will meet on mini-football pitch in the Aika sports hall.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Top-class media football is coming to Norilsk – the most titled media football teams of Russia – Broke Boys and 2DROTS. In July, they played for the Media Football League fifth season’s champion title, and now they are going to the Arctic again to find out who is stronger.

On November 15 at 19:00 in the Aika sports hall there will be a confrontation, which is called the Norilsk Superfinal. For the first time in the media football history, a unique football match will take place on a mini-football pitch according to the sport’s rules.

Media football in Russia is gaining more popularity – 20-30 thousand people gather at the matches of media football teams, and the games broadcasts on the Internet have long been gaining more than a million views.

The match in Norilsk will be broadcast live on the Match TV channel. In addition to the game, master classes for children with the participation of team players and trips to Nornickel production facilities are planned.

With each season, Norilsk increasingly opens its doors to world and domestic stars of basketball, football, hockey, chess, media stars and fans of an active lifestyle. Titled athletes and media stars are attracted by the remoteness and extreme nature of the territory, the opportunity to get vivid emotions both from the sporting events and from the city and its uniqueness. The northern city fully deserves the title of the Arctic’s sports capital.

The 2DROTS team already came to Norilsk in the spring of 2024 and then caused a huge stir among fans, who stood near the hotel in 30-degree frost to take pictures with their idols. The team’s popularity in the region is also enhanced by the fact that the 2DROTS’s head coach, Dmitry Kuznetsov, is a legend of PFC CSKA and one of the Norilsk Nickel FC coaching staff heads in 2002-2003.

The partners of the event are T-Bank and NordStar Airlines, which have prepared special competition activities with prizes and gifts for the match spectators.

A promo featuring the presidents of the country’s two main media football teams was released especially for the Norilsk Super Final. Evgeny Babenko, Nikita Panasyuk, Artyom Kuzmin and Dmitry Egorov appeared as 18th century nobles, and the bosses of 2DROTS challenged their opponents to a duel.

In July of this year, it was 2DROTS and Broke Boys who played in the final of the Media League fifth season. Broke Boys won with a score of 3:0, now the Samurais will try to take revenge.

Thanks to Nornickel, sports have become an important part of everyday life for residents of both Norilsk and the region, and modern infrastructure helps to hold events with maximum comfort.

In recent years, the company has organized many interesting and unique events, including sports festivals, tournaments and informal competitions that cover various sports. For Norilsk Nickel, sports are a powerful tool for transforming the territory and creating a more dynamic and productive city environment.

Earlier, the best players of the Night Hockey League were awarded in Norilsk. In its first season, HC Norilsk reached the playoffs.

This Is Taimyr also wrote that the titled athletes held master classes in Dudinka as part of the Nornickel Curling Cup.
