Teacher-2023 to go to North Pole

October 10, 2023

The state corporation Rosatom presented a unique opportunity to the best teacher of the year.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The winner of the All-Russian competition Teacher of the Year in Russia – 2023 was Oleg Yankovsky, a teacher of Russian language and literature at a comprehensive school at the Russian Embassy in Iran. The Rosatom company, which traditionally supports the competition, gave the winner a unique opportunity – to go on an expedition to the North Pole on the nuclear icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy.

The teacher will immerse himself in the fascinating natural world of the Arctic and see nuclear technology. This was reported by the state corporation’s Telegram channel.

“Let this journey inspire you to new professional discoveries and achievements, you will share them with your students and once again prove that nothing is impossible in this world”, Tatyana Terentyeva, the Rosatom’s deputy director for personnel, noted at the award ceremony.

Earlier, Atomflot showed a curious polar bear, the skill of its captains in the ice of the Yenisey and ice pancakes. We also published a story by the captain of the nuclear-powered ship 50 Let Pobedy about heavy ice, tourists, the melting Arctic and leisure time on the ship.
