#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The best information projects on coverage of interethnic and ethno-confessional relations were named at the XIV All-Russian competition SMIrotvorets. The КМНСОЮЗ-NEWS (Indigenous Minorities Union-NEWS) news portal became the second in the Ethnic and Local Media category.
More than 13 000 works from 1 238 Russian media from all federal districts of the country were submitted for the competition. 37 media outlets and blogs from 25 regions made it to the final.
“Information openness, the North peoples development most acute problems discussion, the Arctic inhabitants’ initiatives support projects, including the Krasnoyarsk region, were highly appreciated at the federal level”, said the Region Legislative Assembly deputy and the Indigenous Minorities Union public organization’s chairman Sergey Sizonenko.
