#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Paulsen publishing house has published on its website an electronic version of the book Islands and Archipelagos of the Kara Sea, the Yamal and Taimyr Peninsulas by doctor of historical sciences and honorary polar explorer Pyotr Boyarsky. Anyone can read it for free.
The book is based on the results of almost 40 years of research by the Arctic Marine Expedition (AME) of the Polar Research Foundation and the Heritage Institute. In the book you can find information about the history, cultural heritage and natural environment of the islands, archipelagos of the Kara sea and the Taimyr and Yamal peninsulas’ shores.
Last year, scientists explored cape Sopochnaya Karga in Taimyr for the first time.
