#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. At the bottom of the Kola Bay, the Northern Fleet hydrographers discovered a plane from the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The remains were found during the third stage of the complex expedition of the Northern Fleet and the Russian Geographical Society (RGO) called Remember the War. For several days, specialists studied the bottom topography in the water area near Cape Mishukov of the Kola Bay, looking for large-sized objects: ships that died there during the Great Patriotic War.

Information about the supposed bomber in this area of the bay came from local divers. The remains are located at a depth of 25 meters not far from the coast.

Next week, hydrographers, together with divers of the Northern Fleet, will examine the find in detail and assess the possibility of its recovery from the bottom.
