#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Yakut scientists launch the production of bioadditive from reindeer lichen and birch bark. It was created for the prevention of coronavirus infection, as well as for recovery after it.
Boris Kershengolts, vice-president of the SB RAS Yakutia Academy of Sciences told TASS that the Betukladin additive had already been registered in Rospotrebnadzor. It contains betulin, obtained from birch bark, lichen β-oligosaccharides, ridding the body of toxins and possessing anticoagulant (reduce blood clotting and the microthrombi formation) and immunomodulatory effects. Also, these β-oligosaccharides increase the absorption of betulin and other active substances of the complex. In addition, the supplement contains substances from lichens that have a mild antimicrobial effect (natural antibiotics).
According to Kershengolts, the new additive shortens the duration and facilitates the course of the disease, prevents the development of prolonged fatigue and depression. The effectiveness of active substances isolated from the bark of birch and reindeer lichen against covid has been confirmed by two stages of clinical trials. Trials usually involve a minimum of three stages.
