#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Polar bear Komander Sedov, a resident of the Krasnoyarsk flora and fauna park Royev Ruchey, in Gelendzhik Safari Park gave birth to two cubs – a boy and a girl. Now they are a month old and their eyes have opened.
As a reminder, Commander Sedov became the first polar bear in the Krasnoyarsk Royev Ruchey. The bear came to Siberia from the Leningrad Zoo and immediately became a star. The bear adored visitors’ attention and put on a real show for the audience in the park: he flopped down in the pool, trying to spray the audience with water.
In 2014, the bear moved to Gelendzhik Safari Park to make a couple. As employees of Royev Ruchey say, at that time the park had perhaps the best conditions for polar bears:
“Huge paddies, a pool four meters deep. The Safari Park itself makes the best impression, all the animals are clean, calm, with a shiny coat – this means that they are healthy and eat right”.
Six years have passed since then, all this time, zoo employees were hoping for the appearance of offspring. Finally good news came from Gelendzhik: Sedov became a father.
“Unfortunately, the mother bear refused the cubs, they were taken away by the park staff. Now the cubs have four “mothers” instead of one, the babies grow quickly and feel good. The first teeth will appear soon, and small predators will take their first steps”, the employees of the Safari Park share their joy.
