Andrey Grishkov presented his documentary about the Arctic floating university.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The results of the XVII Interregional competition of journalistic skills Siberia.PRO have been summed up. It received 915 applications from all the ten regions of the Siberian Federal District. The most active were journalists from the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk regions.

The competition has been held since 2006 with the support of the Russian Federation president’s plenipotentiary representative in the Siberian Federal District. This year’s theme is Siberia: Issues of Sustainable Development.

In the Science and Education category, supported by the general partner of the competition, the Nornickel company, the winner of the Print/Online Mass Media Author category is Yelizaveta Potomskaya, a journalist from the Tomsky Obzor online magazine, with a series of publications of the Mission – Engineer special project. And in the Journalist of Electronic Media category the special

correspondent of the Severny Gorod TV channel Andrey Grishkov won with the Arctic Floating University documentary film.

“This was an expedition organized by the Northern (Arctic) Federal University of Arhangelsk with the support of Roshydromet and the Russian Arctic National Park, as well as with the support of several industrial companies, including Nornickel. Last year, the expedition took place from June 10 to 30, on the research expedition ship Mikhail Somov”, Andrey Grishkov told This IsTaimyr.

In addition to Andrey, there were two more Norilsk residents on the ship – scientists from the Polar State University.

“Our editor-in-chief Maxim Trofimov sent me on the expedition. He said that there is such an opportunity – to combine business with pleasure and find myself in a new unfamiliar and such a hard-to-reach place. I shot myself, without a cameraman, and got several hours of video, from which we first made material for news releases, and then edited a documentary, which I sent to several competitions”, Andrey shared.

Prior to this, his work had already taken two prizes: the third prize – at the competition with the Education Ministry participation and the first one – at the international festival in Tatarstan.

Earlier, This Is Taimyr reported that in August a new expedition of the Arctic Floating University started from Dikson.
