Seasons’s length in Russia may change

December 18, 2020

This is due to global warming. And this will happen, according to experts, most likely in the coming years.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Natural changes will lead to the fact that the winter will become shorter and the spring – longer.

So, in Moscow, the date of the transition of the average daily temperature to negative indicators has shifted by 7-10 days, and spring, on the contrary, comes 5-7 days earlier than in the middle of the last century.

Meteorologists note that the global warming rate is currently particularly high. The reason for this is the anthropogenic factor.

“In January, temperatures have risen by two degrees over the past 30 years. This is an incredible warming, colossal, which has never happened before in history”, – emphasized the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

The Norilsk people have already felt the movement of the seasons this spring, when it came earlier than usual. Summer also unexpectedly followed after that, and in May the temperature in the city was above 10 degrees. A little later, the Norilsk people were pleasantly surprised by the ice drift, which also went ahead of the traditional time. But the real Siberian frosts came only in December.
