#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The proposal to support a nomadic lifestyle is being developed by the Human Capital Development Agency in the Far East and the Arctic (HCDA). In particular, the specialists are going to single out support for the education of children who lead a nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyle with their parents.
Support for nomads was discussed at the Arctic School in the village of Kustur in Yakutia. The school teachers said that the Kustur school is successfully engaged in the traditional education of the indigenous small peoples of the North children. The uniqueness of the educational institution lies in the fact that children, studying in a nomadic way of life and being engaged in traditional types of economic activity, gaining a foothold in the Arctic, preserve their identity and culture of their people.
Note that there is nomadic education practice in Taimyr as well.
