#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In Dudinka, in secondary school No. 7, in the new academic year, a specialized Rosneft class will be opened for 10-11 grades students.
As told in the Taimyr administration press office, the parents have submitted 16 applications, in total there are 25 places. The training is designed for two years.
Students will study physics, mathematics, chemistry and computer science in depth. On average, three hours will be added for each item. The main condition for admission is to have four as an average score in the certificate at the end of the ninth grade. Students will be recruited annually.
“Studying well at school, the children will be able to attend conferences at the Siberian Federal University, Moscow State University, the educational center for the support of gifted children Sirius. Schoolchildren will participate in various academic competitions, and Rosneft will provide financial incentives for such children. The children will also participate in scientific conferences and company events”, said Konstantin Isaikin, director of Dudinka secondary school No. 7.
After leaving school, upon admission to a specialized institute and upon passing the first session successfully, children will be provided with a scholarship of 30 thousand rubles and free housing. Children from the villages will also study in the profile class.
“It is necessary to give a starting opportunity to the children from the villages. We will purposefully prepare them for the next year so that they enter the 10th grade here in Dudinka. I would like to note that today oil and gas production enterprises are very interested in personnel. In addition, the company intends to provide young specialists with housing and decent wages, so we would like the rural children not to be left behind”, said Tatyana Druppova, deputy head of Taimyr for education and culture, head of the education department.
