#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In three educational institutions of Norilsk: gymnasiums №4 and №7 and school №38, a ‘reserved’ dictation was held.
The text of the dictation was developed by employees of the of Environmental Education and Tourism Department of the United Directorate of Taimyr Reserves, taking into account the recommendations of the Russian language and literature teachers. According to the department head Maria Prosekina, the environmental action has its own history.
“For the first time such dictation was held in 2017 in Buryatia in honor of the centenary of the protected system of Russia”, said the interlocutor. “This form of environmental education allows us to reach a large number of schoolchildren, and this audience is one of the main ones for us”.
At the end of the work, each participant chose his own version of responsibility: “Today I make a responsible decision for …”.
The tenth grader of the gymnasium №7 Timofey Dyakov chose to care for the ecology of Norilsk and Taimyr, wrote that he wanted to learn new things about the unique nature of his native land.
“The action is a very interesting experience”, Timofey shared with This Is Taimyr. “We were able to learn a lot about nature, about the reserves of our small homeland”.
According to the organizers, the environmental dictation is a good form of eliminating the illiteracy of northern children, many of whom have a very poor understanding of the flora and fauna of Taimyr, the rules of behavior in the tundra, the protected areas of our peninsula, and the professions owned by the specialists of the United Directorate. Maria Prosekina said that she and her colleagues wanted to convey this information to the children in order to motivate them to study the natural heritage of the region.
Everyone who wrote the dictation will receive certificates, and the winners will receive diplomas and prizes.
